Client
Following the successful delivery of a number of commercial and council based PV projects in the Nottinghamshire area, Watt Energy Saver were appointed by Nottingham County Council to install a brand new system at their new state of the art library in Worksop.
The tough tendering process saw over 20 companies competing for the prestigious work but in the end Watt Energy Savers technical experience and proven delivery record secured the 22.75kWp system delivery.
“It is an honour to be involved in a project such as this. Watt Energy look forward to delivering the scheme to the tight timescales required in order to meet the FiT cut off dates”
Craig Edmonds – Director – Watt Energy Saver
System Overview
The array consists of a console mounting system on a flat roof, which is secured by ballast therefore no penetration to the roof has been necessary.
The design process was detailed and bespoke to meet both the requirements for the generation output and accommodate for the unusual layout building.
Worksop Library PV
Watt Energy design systems using 3d design software to demonstrate to both the client and the install team, the positioning of the array. The software is also used to identify any potential shading issues that could incur and consequently affect the system performance.
Benefits
Watt Energy designed the system to provide the most cost effective and efficient method of energy generation, to allow the library maximum gain from the Feed in Tariff whilst also reducing their carbon footprint by 8,327 kg per year.
