Overview -
Watt Energy Saver installed a solar PV system at West Coventry Academy, featuring high-efficiency solar panels and Solar Edge inverters, mounted on a Van Der Valk system.
This installation aligns with the school's sustainability goals, part of a broader initiative for Net Zero Carbon by 2050. The academy's design includes passive ventilation for energy efficiency and extensive tree planting for carbon offsetting.
Renewable technologies at the school also comprise air source heat pumps and a move towards electric energy, replacing gas to lessen reliance on non-renewables.
