Overview -
At Whitworth School, our collaboration with Wates Construction highlights Watt Energy Saver's proficiency in renewable energy solutions, from the initial design stages (RIBA Stage 2) through to project completion. Our involvement has been key in establishing Whitworth School as a beacon of sustainable and safe energy use in the educational sector.
A standout feature of our work at Whitworth School is the installation of a Building Integrated Facade. This innovative system not only maximizes energy generation but also aesthetically complements the school's architecture. Special attention was given to fire safety, ensuring the integration of the solar system adheres to the highest safety standards. Alongside this, we installed Educational Canopies, designed to boost energy generation while meeting the Department for Education's (DfE) Net Zero Carbon targets. These canopies are securely designed to ensure child safety, including integrated inverters and concealed downpipe cupboards, making our solution at Whitworth School an exemplary blend of safety, efficiency, and architectural elegance.
