Overview -
Nestlé has been at the vanguard of corporate sustainability, with a resolute drive to combat climate change through the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the adoption of renewable energy. Their commitment to green energy in the UK and Ireland is evidenced by their investment in more than 4,000 solar panels across their factories, which significantly contribute to their energy requirements.
Watt Energy, commencing collaboration with Nestlé in 2015, played a pivotal role in this sustainability journey by delivering the first substantial solar arrays in the UK for Nestlé. This initiative was part of Nestlé's broader strategy to source 100% of its grid-supplied electricity from renewable sources and bolster its self-generated green energy capacity, which includes solar energy, hydropower, anaerobic digestion, and biomass.
